Tulsa- E and I sales Co. Inc. was asked to develop a solution for the ever increasing problem of theft of hydrocarbons and equipment at production sites. 

The Valve Sentry is constructed of 12 and 14 gauge steel. No nuts or bolts are exposed. The Valve Sentry can only be accessed by key. It can operate on existing 12 volt DC power supply. If the power supply is not already accessible, a 12 volt DC battery power supply is optional. It contains an electro-mechanical lock rated to withstand over 1000 lbs of force for over one million operations. If there is a loss of power, the lock will fail in the lock position. At this point, you can use the keyed mechanical override to access the Valve Sentry. Additional features include: tamper proof vibration switches that have the ability to not only protect your thief hatch but other equipment you have on site as well, an alarm horn, and a call box that will contact you when there is power loss, wires are cut, or there is unauthorized entry to the thief hatch and valve.

The benefits of this product include: the users ability to restrict unauthorized access to the valve and thief hatch, while tracking authorized offloading of oil and alarming when unauthorized entrance is attempted. It is easily installed and integrated with existing automation and equipment.
